August 23, 2017, will be the first day of school at Buckeye Hills Career Center.
Incoming Seniors MCV4 (Meningococcal) Immunization Requirement
The State of Ohio made it mandatory, beginning Fall of 2016, for students entering Grade 12 or above to have had an additional dose of the MCV4 (Meningococcal) vaccine prior to the start of school. If a senior student had their first dose on or after their 16th birthday, a second dose is not required.
Proof of having this vaccine must be submitted before you will be allowed to attend school in August. Please submit a copy of your shot record to your home school as soon as possible.
Individuals with Disability Education Act (IDEA)
In compliance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), the Gallia-Jackson-Vinton Joint Vocational School District conducts, on an annual basis, an intensive campaign to identify handicapped children under the age of twenty-two.
