Program Description
Gain skills in troubleshooting and repairing HVAC equipment.
- Prepare for required certification and a career in a growing industry.
Course topics include:
- Basic electrical theory and troubleshooting
- Basic motor controls
- Basic heating system controls
- Basic air conditioning controls
- Basic electric safety
- Basic electric and heating system install and maintenance
- Refrigeration cycle
- Refrigeration control system
- Charging/recovering Freon testing and troubleshooting
Approved by the Ohio Department of Higher Education and accredited by COE.

Admission begins February 16, 2024 and continues until class is filled with approved applicants (see admissions page). All applicants are required to take the WorkKeys Exam.
