    Program Description

    The Welding Program is designed to allow the student to learn basic welding skills or upgrade welding knowledge.

    During the 600 hour course, the following topics will be presented: safety, flame cutting, blueprint reading, metallurgy, plasma, aluminum, stainless steel, structural shapes, flat, horizontal and vertical welding, braze and solder, and measurements.

    Credential Potential

    After completion, students will be prepared to sit for the AWS (American Welding Society) Certification Exam.  Includes OSHA 30 hour training.

    Welding is an Adult Diploma Eligible Program for any individual who does not have a high school diploma or equivalent, is at least 18 years of age and is an Ohio resident.  Please call the Adult Education Office @ 740-245-5334 for more information.

    Admission

    Admission process starts February 16, 2024.  Workkeys testing is required but results will not prohibit enrollment with a High School Diploma or GED. Those without a HSD or GED,  will need to meet WorkKeys score standards, but will not be eligible for financial aid. Click here for more info.
