    Program Description

    Diversified Health Occupations (Level I)

    The Diversified Health Occupations program focuses on skill development needed for all healthcare workers.

    Core courses include anatomy & physiology, human growth and development, introduction to basic health-wellness concepts, computer applications, nursing fundamentals, medical terminology, nutrition, and medical abbreviations.

    Students have the opportunity to earn First Aid/CPR, Epi-Pen, and Asthma Certifications. Students who complete the seventy-five (75) hour Nurse Aide Course are eligible to participate in the state certification testing program. Various health-related community activities working with clients are incorporated into the program.

    Students in the Health programs are also enrolled into Skills USA. SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, teachers and industry working together to ensure America has a skilled workforce.
