  • Program Description

    This course stands alone as a program or can be taken as part of the 336 hour Medical Assisting program or the 936 hour Medical Office/Medical Assisting program.

    Credential Potential

    Students completing the program are eligible to take the Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) Exam provided by the National Healthcareer Association.

    Completers of the program can seek employment in local hospitals, physician’s offices, private laboratories, insurance companies, or draw blood from nursing home clients for private laboratories.

    Admission

    Call for schedule. WorkKeys testing is a pre-requisite. Availability of programs and courses are dependent on enrollment and the approval of administration. Click here for more info.

    Upon entrance to the program the following will be required: a BCI and FBI background check and a drug screen must be taken (a felony or positive drug screen can prevent the student from continuing in the program).

    Clinicals (72 hours) are off site.
    Students are responsible for transportation.
