First Responder

First Responder

40 hours

A First Responder may be a law enforcement officer, firefighter, co-worker or private citizen who arrives first at an accident scene. Successful completion of the program will allow individuals to be admitted to the National Registry, First Responder Examination. Course work includes: Introduction to the EMS System, Airway Management, Patient Assessment, Cardiac Management, Illness and Injury, Children and Childbirth.

Windows topics include the basics of working with the newest version of Windows, customizing your desktop, using the start button, creating folders, performing disk maintenance, creating shortcuts to programs and copying icons.

The database program Access allows you to quickly access large amounts of information. The class covers creating and modifying tables, using queries, forms, reports and macros.

Learn the basics of this favorite graphics and business presentation program. Subjects include creating, editing and rearranging slides, creating different types of graphs, creating organizational charts and adding special effects as you learn to build a presentation.

This course will provide students with basic conceptual knowledge of computer numerical operations. The concepts of basic coding system, axis rotation, computer systems, tape preparation and equipment will be covered.

Emphasis will be on the manufacturing process, set-up, tooling, and practical application of machining techniques. Prerequisite: Intro CNC course and/or relevant work experience.
