Buckeye Hills students working with GDC residents to create “BooBoo Bunnies”
The Buckeye Hills Diversified Health Occupations (DHO) class hosted a Spring Day Celebration at Gallipolis Developmental Center (GDC) on Thursday, March 25. Students led activities such as creating “Boo Boo bunnies” from cloths and dying and decorating eggs. The day ended with visits with the residents, card playing, and listening to one of the residents playing the piano. The students correspond with the residents after each visit; this time, they have promised to make and mail Easter cards in order to keep in touch. Students plan and prepare for one visit each quarter.
