The Buckeye Hills SkillsUSA Chapter teamed up with the Gallia County Council on Aging to serve area senior citizens. The name of the project was, “Seniors Serving Seniors.” The project allowed eight SkillsUSA programs to showcase their career skills. During the visit, the senior citizens received manicures and shampoo styles from the Cosmetology students. The Health Academy set up a health fair with a presentation on stress including stress balls and body fat analysis. Also the CAD/CAM and Electronics program held Internet and Microsoft “how to” classes.  HVAC demonstrated how to change a light switch. Auto Mechanics students provided an auto diagnostic analysis. Auto Care and Auto Collision Technology washed cars. The Culinary and Food Preparation programs provided lunch. During lunch, the Building and Grounds Maintenance program passed out plants and seeds. The project was a success and the senior citizens have requested another visit to Buckeye Hills.
