Brittany Albert, a student enrolled in the Retail & Marketing program at the Award Winning Buckeye Hills Career Center, recently competed in the D.E.C.A. Regional Competitive Events on February 7, 2008. She received a second place award in the Food Marketing Contest.
Brittany resides in Oak Hill, and is the daughter of Tom Albert and Melissa Albert. She is employed at Kentucky Fried Chicken in Jackson. Her Retail & Marketing instructor is Gail Wilson.
D.E.C.A. (Distributive Education Clubs or America) is a youth organization for vocational students enrolled in Marketing programs. This organization promotes leadership skill development and helps prepare students for the world of work. The Retail & Marketing program at Buckeye Hills is a co-op program for juniors and seniors. Students must be employed to be in the class and receive on-the-job training while earning their high school diploma.
