Public
Safety - Students selecting this program will
learn
competencies in the areas of legal boundaries, CPR, patrolling, firefighting
techniques, investigations, traffic enforcement, criminology, private
security, physical training,
operation of
electronic monitoring systems, first responder and EMT.
Students
qualifying may earn a "private Security" certification through the Ohio
Peace Officer's Training Academy (OPOTA).
At age
18, students may qualify for State Certification testing for EMT-B and
Firefighter 1 & 2 provided by the Department of Public Safety, Division
of Emergency Services
