Phlebotomy (shortened course)
The course prepares the nurse
assistant to perform venipuncture procedures when acting under the direction
of a licensed practitioner. The course may be taken separately or as a part
of the Healthcare Assistant Program.

Phlebotomy
Completers of the program can
seek employment in local hospitals, physician's offices, private
laboratories, insurance companies, or draw blood from nursing home clients
for private laboratories. Students completing the program are eligible to
take the Board Exam for Certification by the International Academy of
Phlebotomy Sciences.
