The program is made up of six components.

HVAC :  "Hands-on" training on new modem trainers:

Topics include: Basic Electrical theory and troubleshooting, Basic Motor Controls, Basic heating system controls, Basic air-conditioning controls, Refrigeration cycle, Refrigeration control system, Charging/Recovery Freon, Testing and troubleshooting.

Carpentry/Remodeling: Prepare to make minor repairs and perform installation of the most common problems found in building maintenance. Topic include: Replacing wall coverage, Patching drywall, Painting, Repairing baseboards/doors, Installing screens, Replacing windows, Minor roof repairs (patch/shingles), Minor masonry repairs, Buffing floors, Replacing and installing tiles/ceramic tiles.

Tools Required: Note: Students perform work projects at the school.

Basic Electricity:
Introductory course with topics to include: Electrical Fundamentals of Conductors, Insulators, Resistance, Voltage, Amperage, Ohm's Law, Series Circuits, DC Motors, DC Motor Controls, Electrical Measuring Instruments, Electrical Safety, National Electric Code (NEC), GFCI, Circuit Breakers, Panel Boards.

Plumbing: The program will cover basic household plumbing to light commercial problems. Areas to be covered are: Safety and types of tools, use of tools, types of pipe (PVC, CPVC, Hard and Soft Copper, Galvanized, Black Iron Cast Iron), Types of fittings and values, Faucet, Commode, Hot water Tank Repair/Installation, Drains, Plumbing Techniques (New vs. Old Construction).

Welding: Emphasis will be placed upon proper welding practices, equipment operation, material setup and safe work procedures. Includes introduction to DC arc welding using the 6010 and 7018 electrode in flat, horizontal and vertical positions.
