The Basic Peace Office Training course meets all the required standards
for basic law enforcement training in Ohio. The student is provided
with quality instruction in all subject matters prescribed by the Ohio
Peace Officer Training Council. Upon completion of the course the
student is eligible to take the State certification test. |

Every student is given individualized instruction in police car
driving, firearm proficiency and safety, self-defense tactics, and
physical conditioning.
Experts in the many fields of criminal justice are brought to
the Academy to present qualified instruction in their critical subject
areas.
Requirements for the class are:

background check and fingerprinting, pre-testing, personal interview,
physical exam, verification of Ohio drivers license with a good
driving record, and applicant must not have any felony convictions.
Note: The program is physically demanding. Students are required to
pass a Fitness Aptitude Test as part of the course. Requires Work Keys
Testing.
$3,4100 600 hours 5-9 p.m. Starts: Sept. Ends: June (Mon-Thur): Also
meets 1st and 3rd Sat. of each month (8-4:30 p.m.) and six Sundays (8-5
p.m) . (call for class schedule)
Additional Cost: 2 uniforms and physical conditioning clothing are
required, duty belt, firearm, and footwear. |
